Dear Bioware,

the ending(s) to your trilogy should not:

-Depend on the Endingtron 3000 right at the last minute.
-Be variants of the same goddamned thing.

they should:

-Depend on your actions throughout the trilogy, or at the very least the last game.  (like silent hill or Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne)
-At the very least have significantly different epilogues.
-Have a Golden Ending as a reward for all of your hard work throughout the whole series. Go ahead and keep the whole Main Character's Noble Sacrifice thing for the sake of drama, but at least let the players know that they've made the world a better place.

The refusal ending made me feel insulted. A big middle finger from Bioware to your face as the Catalyst continues its nonsense and unbelievable work. Yeah, choices I made were 'worth it in the end'.

I think I actually shed a tear here and there after I beat the game because I was so upset that they had completely wasted several years of my life in one cataclysmic, dramatic shitty ending that left me, quite truthfully, rather bitter, sad and angry. Did I mention angry? Can't believe they completely ruined a whole trilogy because of political correctness. And the DLC was no better. It still didn't explain nearly enough as it should have or answer and rectify all the serious plot holes that they erupted like black holes toward the ending of the game! They should have went along with the Indoctrination Theory and not against it, because IMHO they were bruised by the fact that gamers and readers were able to disseminate the entire universe and take it apart piece by piece better then they (THE CREATORS!) could have in a million years!

Instead of doing it the fans way and to satisfying US, i.e. their FRACKING costumers, they instead had to satisfy themselves and their own agenda, which quite frankly made me sick and pissed off at Bioware and the other parties involved with the production of Mass Effect. It appears to me I will not be affording Bioware the luxury of ever purchasing one of their gamer products any time in the foreseeable future. Probably... EVER!
At least the only good game that I still play by them is SWTOR, which, is beginning to piss me off by the fact that they charge $15 a month! Curse those corporate money mongers...

Actually, I get the feeling that actually the end is not supposed to be the "real" end.

The destruction ending "good" actually seem to hint the end might not seem what to be(with how sherpard wakes up on the ruins on earth rather than on the citadel...

I know this is technically pure fanspeculation, but I feel this video gives good reaon to take the current "ending" of Mass Effect 3 with a grain of salt. [link]

Some of the point it's raised are... interesting, I felt, especially in sight of "leaks" of a potential future DLC called "The Truth".

heh, nvm this comment, just saw you're well aware of the theory.

Though, in that case it could be argued that indeed the end could have seen a better design and at least better hinted that it really isn't over "yet".

Plus, with the nature of DLCs nowdays, especially the success of Mass Effect 2 DLC(with the Arrival DLC more or less confirmed it can happen -after- the main Mass Effect 2 story)... it was bound to see more DLCs with Mass Effect 3... to the point that a "the end is not the real "ending" " DLC is not only unsurprising to me, but actually stuff I was expecting in light of the "race to save the universe" plot of the game.

Just look up the Indoctrination Theory and chew on that brain-food for a bit. Seems plausible, and tooootally opens awesome doors for .. future DLC. Lame.
