Okay the things you see when you don't have a very large shoe, or sledgehammer handy...

I really like the organic shape and look to it. I could see this being based off of something from an alien world..something a bit like a terrestrial scorpion..

I would be awesome create a alien species, who looks  like devils good , and reverse - a angel-looks-like race aliens, which would be antagonists.

I just really don't get why the devs would be adding a ship that looks like it's taken off of Mass Effect. Looks like a Rip-off from it...just wait until the devs of ME1-3 get word of that. Dunno what'll happen then...

cause they know, unlike you, that it isn't a ripoff. why would a designer do that when he knows very well that there are legal issues, and that his carreer would be at stake. this is an excellent design by an excellent artist, give him some credit, instead of accusing him! besides, from what i can see,the ME ship is vertical, while this is horizontal.

I just said it LOOKS like- doesn't mean it IS. and this post should've been answered to when I posted it. But hey, least I don't mind =) thanks for the feedback, and I wasn't accusing him =( I was asking and the tone of my post sounded like it was biased towards accusation =C

To me and a friend of mine, it looks more like the Shivan Lucifer warship from Freespace, which predates Mass Effect and Sins by quite a few years. I could make the argument that Reapers look like Shivan ships, too, probably, and may even have been inspired by them, to an extent; they come from the same concept of a mysterious class of entity bent on the destruction of all life in our reality/galaxy for seemingly unfathomable reasons. The Lucifer, in particular was an exceedingly rare (only one was ever featured in the series) and powerful 'superdestroyer' that none of the other races in the Freespace universe could hope to defeat normally; they had to use trickery to even hope to destroy it, or at least trap it.

actually, I figured it out already. In the first game's manual, the description of the Vasari Empire's Jarun Migrator says something about "seeing years of 'xeno' administrators," and then the description of the TEC Rebels says that "nothing will stand in their way, not even 'xenos'..." the '_' around the word xenos or xeno has to do with something the Vasari Empire is running from, so...I guess you can say I already figured it out, but the thing is, what will the xenos be?! Will they be an organic-consuming race? (CAUSE WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER ALL-ORGANIC CONSUMING RACE LIKE IN HALO, WHICH WAS STUPID)will they be an all-machine race? (Like the Reapers and Geth in ME1-3?) Or will they be an all nano-organic-machine race? (A mix, of course) There are MANY possibilities as to what the xenos may and might be due to the developer's decisions.

My theory is that it's a sapient(and malevolent) gravitational anomaly. One that understands psychological warfare( Being essentially invisible because there's no concentrated matter helps.)

I created another theory that this mysterious entity that the Vasari are running from happens to be a sort of inescapable enemy that is created by the Vasari- as the case says on it's back, an ancient civilization running from a terror of it's OWN CREATION- BIG words there. Mine happens to be that it'd have to be a biological enemy that the Vasari created to continue the advancement of their empire, given that the ship they found was full of crew members, QUOTE, "gone mad with terror." Using this, it sounds creepily like there actually WOULD be a biological experiment enemy that the Vasari are running from (save for the survivors who didn't know a CLUE as to what it was that was attacking/chasing them for over 10k years since then). But personally, I wouldn't mind if the devs said that in the future, the Vasari were running from really sentient AI Nanobots. Makes more sense.

Xeno is a term from the greek 'xenos'. It means strange, alien or foreign.

It's a reference to Aliens in general rather than a specific alien race.
